Depart Marrakech and cross the high Atlas Mountains at an altitude of 2,260 meters to reach Ait Ben Haddou. An hour-long walk around Ait Ben Haddou will give you a glimpse of its village culture and picturesque landscape. The Ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou is a wonderful example of southern Moroccan architecture. The ksar is basically a collection of apartment buildings. The houses are densely arranged within defensive walls, fortified by corner towers and pierced by gates with deadbolts. Some are modest, while others resemble small town castles, decorated with tall corner towers and mud brick motifs. After lunch, take the route through Ouarzazate to reach the “valley of 1000 kasbahs”, the Dades Valley, where you will spend a magical evening.

We will then visit the Dades Valley, cross the Boumarne Dades and head to Merzouga where we will visit the Todra Valley (altitude 300 meters). The Todra Valley is located on the eastern side of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco and is known worldwide as one of the most spectacular gorges. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will be taken by camel to the desert camp where you can admire the sunset and spend an unforgettable night at the camp. The desert is the perfect place to enjoy an adventurous camel trek or camp under the twinkling stars.

You will be woken up before sunrise so you can climb the dunes and take some great photos. We then return to the hotel, shower, have breakfast and depart for Fez. On the way you will visit Erfoud, Errachidia, Ziz Valley and Midelt (on arrival in Midelt your driver will stop for lunch if you get hungry).
